I did run a micropress for six years, publishing limited runs of niche music writing on an ethical basis; I could talk about that.

I could answer questions about songwriting and composition, on the general understanding that I’ve never had a Top 200 hit.

I could answer questions about being in bands and performing, which I guess might help some writers in their research, and similarly about growing up in the north of England at a time of quite punitive politics and booming musical creativity.
